Our natural resources are being stretched to the brink, putting people and the planet in danger. Fortunately, local leaders worldwide are collaborating to improve livelihoods, end hunger, combat climate change, and regenerate nature.
We amplify their work to build local capacity to protect, sustainably develop, and restore land and water resource to benefit human well-being, livelihoods, and nature. At the same time, we lead research and action to shift global policy, markets, and financial systems to benefit local communities. Through our work, we seek to build a world full of thriving landscapes.
We are conveners, uniting people and organizations to multiply our individual efforts for the good of communities and nature. That’s why we cofounded the 1000 Landscapes for 1 Billion People initiative, a radical collaboration of environmental, sustainable development, technology, and academic institutions working together to accelerate landscape efforts to sustain and restore ecosystems, build rural prosperity, and confront climate change.
